The Flood will be having a lock-in on Friday February 24th form 9pm through 7am!  This event will include pizza, dodgeball, worship, Nerf, video games, and a trip to Zap Zone where we have rented the entire facility to ourselves for some lazer tag!  Please not that nobody will be allowed into the church after 10pm when we lock the doors or allowed to leave before 7am unless previously noted on the permission form (available every Wednesday night) for safety reasons.  Please be sure to have a ride ready to pick you up AT 7am… our volunteers are old and will be ready for bed!

We have started a new series in The Flood we are calling “WHY?”.  This series will be looking at the “why questions” of the Christian faith like why we pray, why we read the Bible, why we choose purity and more.  I am excited to see the impact this series has  as most of these questions have come from you the students!

This fall both The Flood and Modified will be teaching through a series along with the entire church we are calling “Imagine”.   Each week the Middle School and High School groups will be studying the same Scripture and Biblical point that the church as a whole will be studying on Sunday morning, just altered to directly communicate with you in an appropriate way for you in your unique place in life.  This series will take a look at what we can imagine our lives to be like if Christ was at the center.  We are going to imagine a Christ-centered life at school, within the family, among friends, in the area of money and contentment, and every aspect of a person’s life.

The Flood has started a new teaching series titled “The Narrow Path”.  We will be looking at Biblical characters who chose to take the narrow path, to do the right thing, to do the hard thing… even though doing the opposite would have been easier.

On Wed August 3rd we will be having a Middle School only pool party at Chad’s house from 6:30pm to 8pm.  Don’t show up to the church, just show up at Chad’s house with your bathing suits (no bikinis please) and towels ready to have some fun swimming, playing games, eating food, and enjoying the summer!

Summer is here, which means The Flood has moved outside!  As long as the weather allows, after a brief time of hanging out in the gym, we will be heading outside each week for the game, worship, and nightly devotional.  We have just started a new series titles “Stories From The Wilderness” which will take a look at God’s creation and the “wild” side of God.  This is going to be fun!
